sick kids = no fun

I know it has been over a week since I posted on here, but life has gotten in the way recently! Things have been slightly more chaotic than normal, which always makes life interesting. We have taken photos recently, I just don't have time to upload them right now on here!

The kids have been sick lately. Jackson has had a nagging cough for a while. He's actually been asking to take medicine, so you know he must REALLY not feel so hot. Macy is sick as well. I finally took her to the doctor today because she has had a rough cough for a while and then yesterday it turned into wheezing and a really REALLY bad cough. It is awful to listen to her cough when she gets going. Come to find out, she has ear infections in both ears as well as RSV. RSV is a respiratory illness that can become quite serious. I think we are treating it early enough that she'll be ok though. She is now on breathing treatments 3 times a day as well as some other medicines. Macy was JUST at the doctor last Friday for her 6 month check-up and she had a tiny cough then, but nothing to complain about. The ear infections and the RSV pretty much came out of no where! Her 6 month check-up went well and she is doing great (except for the current illnesses.....). She now weighs 20.5 pounds and is 26 inches long.

Matt and I went to a retreat last weekend for family childcare providers and it was awesome! We came back rejuvenated and full of new ideas to implement! We had a nice time away for two days. Jack and Macy stayed at Grandma's while we were gone and they did awesome!

Other exciting news is that we had a broken water heater and were without hot water for a few days! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. The only bad thing was that our dirty dishes piled quite high and we had to go elsewhere to take showers. Not too bad though! We now have a shiny new water heater in our garage! woohoo!!!!! Just what every person wants!

I will update again soon with new photos and more info on what is going on with us. Have a great day!
