Rollin', Rollin', Rollin'

Well, it is well into 2008 and I have yet to update our blog! Happy New Year!

We had an awesome full week off of the daycare during Christmas. It was pretty slow and relaxing. After our full week off from work, we had one week with just a few kids here each day, so that was a nice way to get back in the regular routine! We are back in full swing now, we even added two new kids to our daycare this week. Crazy for a couple of days, but we're getting in a good groove now, I think!

The most exciting thing around here is that we bought a Wii! This was our Christmas gift for each other this year. We've been scouring the city for one and never did find one, so we finally bought one on line. We also bought some extra games and extra controllers. Everything has shipped and is sitting in our family room.....except for the actual Wii. It is supposed to arrive before 2/1. GREAT! Matt basically pees his pants a little every time he sees all the Wii games and accessories, but no Wii. We're super excited to get to play it soon!!!!

Macy has been so hilarious lately. Her newest game is rolling from one side of the room all the way to the other side. She LOVES rolling over, but she has only figured out how to roll one way, so once she hits the other side, that is pretty much it. We keep getting her to try to roll the other way, but she just won't yet, so until then, we just keep picking her up and putting her back on the other side of the room and let her roll back again. Very sweet. Here are three photos showing the progression from one side of the family room to the other!

She's also VERY much into drooling these days. I think she's been teething for a while now. We should probably start putting a little bib on her so her shirts don't get so soaked from all the drool! See how wet her little shirt is here? I love it when she holds her chubby little hands together like that too.

One of Macy's Christmas presents was a new high chair! We already have three high chairs for daycare kids, but we wanted Macy to have her very own. We set it up in the kitchen and have been letting her play in it a little bit each day. This weekend we are starting her on solid foods, so that should be fun!

Matt found an old trash bag in the attic full of Legos from when he was a kid. He brought them in the house and separated the "good" Legos from all the BURNT ones. Yes, he apparently set many of his Legos on fire when he was a child. Ellena, did you know about this? =) I'm actually quite certain that he set more than Legos on fire. Anyway, last Saturday he and Jack sat at the table and played with Legos from right after breakfast all the way through lunch. They both sat still for that entire time....playing Legos. I think twice Jack ran upstairs to see what I was doing. But then he ran right back downstairs to continue building Legos. I still am amazed that they both sat at the table so long!

Matt turns the big 30 tomorrow!!!!!!! It feels sorta wierd to be married to someone who is almost 30!!!

One of my goals for 2008 is to scrapbook 150 pages. I was able to get 100 done last year, and I thought that was pretty good considering I had a baby half way through the year! But, this year I'm trying to get to 150. I wanted to create some sort of goal this year just to keep me going and not get lazy when it comes to creating! So far I've already completed 9 pages, so I'm doing pretty good! Here are a couple:
