being silly

It has been 2 years since we took Jack to get professional photos. It was just too hard to keep him in the portrait studio, let alone actually look at the camera and smile! So, I decided to take him to get his picture taken now that he's 4. I was kinda nervous at how it would go.....but he did GREAT. The photographer asked him to stand up so she could see how tall he was and then she looked at him and real quietly said "ok....say BOOGERS" and he was pretty much all hers for the next 20 minutes. She was real goofy with him and she just let him do his own thing (with a little direction from her) and she just kept shooting away! It was so cute, really! She had him pretending to be a monster and she had him saying all sorts of things to get him to smile. They were pretty silly together and he really loved being in front of the camera this time. It was great! After a while, he did eventually start getting ornery and we knew he was done getting his pictures taken. Anyway, it was a great experience and I think we got a couple great photos from it!

Jack also went to the doctor for his 4 year check-up and he's doing pretty well. He grew 3 inches last year and only gained a pound!
