ONE MORE DAY!!! (by Betsy)

Well, we have almost arrived to the big birthday of baby #2! Matt and I are so stinkin' anxious to find out if we have a son or daughter! Our house is now super clean (with much help from my awesome mom!!!), laundry is completely finished, meals are in the freezer, bills are all paid, our refridgerator/pantry is well-stocked, and we are pretty much ready to drive off to the hospital to meet this kiddo! The only thing we have not yet done is pack our hospital bags...which will obviously get done tonight.
I've been slightly emotional lately too. I burst out crying in church today and couldn't stop, and I'm still confused about why that started! I scrapbooked a page last night about how today is Jack's last day as an only child and what I am concerned about and looking forward to over the next few months.

Here is what the journaling says on this scrapbook page: "This is a picture of you as an only child. Today is the last day of your life that you will be an only child! Man, I love every minute of being your Mama. You are one amazing boy. You inspire me and you challenge me. You make me laugh. You have added a ton of joy to my world. I love watching you be uniquely you. I know that the next few months might be frusterating for you. I will be tired. Daddy will be tired. There will be lots of crying from the baby. I will be a little preoccupied with taking care of a newborn. I cannot wait to watch you be a big brother! You are gentle, sweet, and observant and I know you will be so helpful with your new brother or sister. I promise that I will still make time to play with you outside, read your favorite books, play cars, and create art. We'll make it through these next few months together! I love you, buddy. 7/22/07"

Next time we post on our blog, we'll have photos of the baby! We can't wait for that exciting moment tomorrow!!!!!

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers for tomorrow.
